Janelle and Rex engaged | windmill highway | Mountain House CA

Janelle and Rex's home is on the fringes of the bay area in Mountain House, worlds apart from their jobs in San Francisco. On their commutes they sometimes use this shortcut through the summit.

The atypical beauty of the Altamont Pass hasn't been lost on them, with its dilapidated barns, railroad bridges, and hundreds of giant windmills.

The turbine sounds of the windmills, and how the clouds and grass rolled around us made me wish I were shooting video.  And hopping out along the side of a highway for spontaneous guerrilla fashion shoots is always fun.
